The Spiritual Life Center at Hughes Memorial Church in Edgemere, Maryland was created for ecumenical use by all faiths in response to the call of God by the congregation and Pastor Barbara Laukaitis of that Church in 2003.

The goal of The Spiritual Life Center is to serve the local and regional areas with opportunities for renewal, directed prayer, meeting space and retreats both private and corporate.  The Center offers program that call God's people to spiritual growth and personal development.

Accommodations include a comfortable meeting area for small groups, a sanctuary seating 200 worshipers, a fellowship area suitable for up to 200, a hermitage area for individual mediation, an outdoor prayer garden and labyrinth (under construction), and a full commericial kitchen with a permit to serve food.
