Overview
In this latest installment in the long running ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series, you take the role of Niko Bellic; an immigrant who comes to Liberty City in search of what his cousin Roman calls “The American Dream”, but instead finds himself in a dirty, crime ridden nightmare, nothing he’s new to. This updated version of GTA III’s Liberty City is still the same, you jack cars and shoot people; definitely something the series is known for. But the nonlinear story, and compelling multiplayer will have you in love with this game.

Setting
Ahh, Liberty City circa 2008, you can feel the New York inspired theme as you drive through various boroughs. The lush visuals are nothing to sneeze at tis time around though, every neighborhood has been unequally detailed down to the street names and the pedestrians who dwell them. You will get a feel for the environment just like you would a real city: watching out for land marks to remember your way, learning where to shop at for guns, clothes, and food, its all here, just take your pick. Of course, not the entire city is unlocked right off the bat. As in most GTA games, there is some unreasonable excuse as to why the bridges are blocked off; this time its terrorism. Crossing the river via boat will result in an automatic 6-star wanted level (more on that later).
