I got a very nice Bosch coil 12v off a fresh but rusted out SR600 single and wanted to run a test side by side with my very used Lucas coil. This ...

Tonight at Volunteer Speedway there were several kings in the house, from Richard Petty to the king of beer Budweiser. At the end of the night though, it was Joey Saldana who was truly king as he led all 35-laps to win over Steve Kinser in the first night of Kaseys King of Bulls Gap presented by Budweiser a co-sanctioned event with both the OReilly All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws. After capturing the victory in the dash, Saldana took off from the pole position at the start of tonights A main.Â
While he pulled out to the lead there was a scramble for positions as Paul McMahan and Kinser battled for third and Kasey Kahne and Jason Meyers fought for fifth. When everything settled down, Saldana was in the lead with Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, McMahan, and Meyers in the top-five. The first caution of the evening was on lap 7 when Sam Hafertepe spun and came to a stop on track.Â
On the restart, Saldana took off from the inside lane and retained his lead, but before a lap could be scored a second caution flew for Craig Dollansky and Cale Conley. A second restart was attempted, but Kasey Kahne tangled with his driver Brad Sweet. The third time was the charm as Saldana retained the lead.
On the restart, Sweet moved into the top-five, and Kinser was able to get by Lasoski for the second position. Sweet was a man on the move, moving up to fourth on lap 15 and then went after Lasoski for third, while Saldana and Kinser ran nose-to-tail for the lead. With twenty laps in the books, Saldana had the lead, followed by Kinser, Sweet, Lasoski and McMahan.Â
With six laps remaining there was another break in the racing action. This time it was for debris on the track. On the restart, Jac Haudenschild got into the wall hard and spun, leaving both Craig Dollansky and Tim Shaffer with nowhere to go. After hard impact, Shaffer got upside down bringing out the red flag. A second restart was tried, but another spin stalled the racing action.
