1999 Mercury Grand Marquis Check Engine light came on. Went to auto parts store & they checked code which said that my #3 cylinder wasn't firing but the code reader didn't specify why. I imagine Ill need to check the coil, fuel injector & wires...
It is time to change all the spark plugs and all the wires at the same time. If a distributor is fitted, then change that, too. Be safe, and not stranded.

It’s better to be looked over than overlooked.
That’s the maxim that transformed a tough girl from Brooklyn into the quintessential Hollywood sex goddess known as Mae West. She may have been short, and neither young nor thin, but she had moxie to die for.
Chutzpah is the engine that drives Claudia Shear’s “Dirty Blonde,” an homage to the brassy bombshell that traces her roots from vaudeville provocateur to Tinseltown icon. Directed by Rick Singleton at San Jose Stage Company, it’s a love letter to the master wriggler that’s a genuine charmer, despite a few flat patches.
This is Mae as seen through the eyes of two of her most adoring fans. They meet at West’s mausoleum, where they go to celebrate her birthday, and launch a fast friendship filled with a shared appreciation for the original material girl.
Jo (Judith Miller) is a mousy office temp who wants to be an actress. Charlie (Colin Thomson) is a dowdy film archivist who likes to break out the drag when nobody’s looking. They both know every line from “I’m No Angel” and every gown from “Diamond Lil.”
To them, West is more than just a star; she’s the distillation of female freedom. While she was famously fearless about her sexuality (“A hard man is good to find” is one of her gems), she was also a groundbreaker on other fronts. West befriended people of all colors at a time when society was marked by bigotry; she spurned homophobia to hang out with drag queens. A rebel in pumps and feathers, she delighted in inciting the wrath of censors and coppers with scandalous plays such as “Sex” and “The Drag.”
Miller, who had the title role in “Always Patsy Cline” last year at San Jose Stage, does a lovely job of invoking West’s signature sassiness as she plays the star in a series of flashbacks. She nails the strut, walking like a truck driver with hips, and the eye-rolling, not to mention the double entendres. But amid the naughtiness, she also brings a little vulnerability to West. You can see the sadness in her face as she ages and it becomes harder and harder to stand tall in her sky-high stilettos.
