My Interview With ZenMom
ZenMom: I thought it was kinda self-explanatory, I guess. :) Way before I started blogging, I joined an online community called CafeMom. I needed a screen name to sign up. And ZenMom popped into my head. So, the mom part is obvious. The Zen part is because my personal philosophy is pretty closely aligned with Taoism and Zen Buddhism. ZenMom: Oh, no. That was fine. It was actually a better "score" than I expected. Though, I think I'd actually have liked a little more in-depth critique. I never take things like that personally. But, I also try not to write just to "fill" my blog. If I'm not inspired to write something - for whatever reason - I just don't write anything. ZenMom: A little, I guess. I don't actually believe it's possible to be entirely anonymous on the web. I accept that. And several people I know IRL read my blog - including my parents. So, I'm already "out" in at least one way. I guess I have two goals re: my anonymity. 1: I wouldn't want some random stalker to hunt me down. And 2: I don't want a casual google search of my real name to connect to my blog. I'm not embarrassed to own anything and everything I post. But I think it would make me feel a little self-conscious to know that some of my casual acquaintances ... people I might not even know or really like IRL ... are reading my stuff.
